Sharyn M. Fogel, a native of Western North Carolina, was born in Asheville and attended Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida. Sharyn studied portrait painting with Roman and Constantine Chatov in Atlanta, Georgia for 3 years and participated in many workshops with individual teachers including Joe Miller, Tony Couch, Daniel Greene, Sue Russell, Herbie Rose, and Michael Del Priore.
Sharyn successfully held several one-woman shows in Brevard and Hendersonville, NC as well as Atlanta, Ga. Recently she’s had watercolor paintings in the Southern Living House at Brookgreen Gardens, Pawley’s Island, SC. Sharyn’s work can be seen by visiting her online gallery or at Number 7 ARTS, A FIne Arts & Crafts Cooperative, a program of the Transylvania (County) Arts Council, located at 12 East Main Street in Brevard, North Carolina.
